Middle School Indoor Track Season

5th-8th Grade ONLY

This January, NILA will host an Indoor Middle School club that will run until the end of March. The purpose of this club is to give Middle schoolers a chance to prepare for their upcoming school season and experience an indoor track season before they reach high school. As of right now, we will only be offering a Sprint Program that will focus on developing form, acceleration through shorter sprints, and endurance through longer sprints. There will also be an emphasis on stretching and strength development, including core workouts and plyometric exercises. We make sure that we do not just throw our athletes in these workouts right away, but build them up throughout the indoor season, and as they are developing, we will slowly increase the intensity.

The goal of our Middle School Club is to give athletes from all over the area the chance to train together and experience a true indoor season before entering high school. Our program welcomes athletes of every skill level and background, whether they’re brand-new to track or already experienced. Track and Field is a sport that doesn’t discriminate and allows everyone to participate, and we proudly carry that same philosophy in our club.

As of right now, we do not have any meets, but we are going to try and work with local clubs and schools to see if we can get one or two meets this season. When we have any word, we will notify all the families as quickly as possible.
